Telescoping Open Sea

Today's card is another one we did at my class last Monday.  The girls loved this, and were surprised at just how easy these telescoping cards are to make :)

I've already decided that this will be my Father-In-Law's birthday card, even though that isn't until August :)

Another Lighthouse.....

I did a bunch of masculine cards with my regular ladies a little while ago, and this is the last of the cards I have to share from that day:

An Open Sea Reject

When I saw this card over on the Pretty Impact blog I fell in love with it!  I just knew I had to case it......but it all went downhill from there :(

I was happily stamping away, thinking how much my regular ladies were going to love doing this card in with their nautical cards.....and then I didn't have any of that lovely Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon.  I substituted it with Marina Mist Striped Grosgrain Ribbon......and here is the result:

No where near as gorgeous as the original :(  The more I look at it, the more I don't like it.  Here's the inside:

Sorry Deb, I will bring it to show you all, but this is NOT one of the cards we will be making on Monday :)

The Lighthouse

I promised Deb that I would pop in this morning to share another card from our class :)

Sarah asked me to use this retired Stampin' Up! set called The Lighthouse.  I have kept the same layout and dimensions as my Open Sea card, just changed the colours.

.....and the inside.....

I love the simplicity of this card.  A little bit of colouring would step it up a notch, but the girls will have to wait and see if that is what I have in store for them!!

The Open Sea

I am getting together with a lovely bunch of ladies on Monday, who have requested some masculine cards.  The Open Sea is the perfect stamp set for this!

Add a sentiment from Perfectly Penned along with some Nautical Expedition Designer Series Paper, and you have yourself an elegant masculine card :)  Here's the inside:

Super simple, but it does the job!

I know Deb will be happy to see that I have posted something that they will be making on Monday......now she will just have to wait and see if I decide to give any more sneak peeks!

Top Note Easel Card

Wow!  3 posts in 3 days!  That must be almost a record for me!

Anyways.....yesterday I shared with you the Butterfly easel card, which is just gorgeous.  Bronwyn also shared with us the tutorial for making a Top Note easel card, which looks fabulous too :)

Here it is from the side:

Sense of Time was another one of those stamp sets that I had been looking at for ages, but hadn't brought, so when I earned myself a free stamp set during Sale-A-Bration that's what I chose.  It makes beautiful masculine cards, which are always sadly lacking in my stash!

This card will also be featured in my upcoming Easel Card Class along with the Butterfly easel card.
