Ornament Keepsakes

Have you seen this card made by the super talented Mary Fish?  Pure gorgeousness!  One of those cards where as soon as you see it you know you just HAVE to make it yourself!

Sadly, I had used all the designer series paper that Mary used while making my Christmas wreath, so I had to change that aspect, but I still think this one works.  I also left the buttons off my card.....my bow turned out perfectly and I didn't want to risk messing with it to place the buttons!!

Love love love the matching framelits for this stamp set!

Thanks for stopping by.

No Peeking

Today's card is a case of this gorgeous card :)

I changed the sentiment part, and Julie used markers to colour the different parts of her penguin, but I took the easy way out and paper pieced!

That penguin sure is cute!

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Wreath

I'm sure you will excuse the lack of blogging from me lately when you see the pure gorgeousness I am here to share with you!!

Didn't I tell you???

The wonderfully talented Sophie from Stampin' Up! demonstrated how to make this wreath at the Melbourne Heartfelt event I attended, and it's been on my to do list ever since!  Lots of work, but well worth it I am sure you will agree :)

I am running a workshop so you can make your own wreath on Saturday 3rd November 2012.  Places are limited, and RSVP's close on Monday 22nd October.  If you are in the Melbourne area and would like to attend you can RSVP here.

Thanks for stopping by.....and I will be back tomorrow with something new to share :)

Scentsational Christmas Tree

When I first saw that one of our new in colours was Gumball Green I thought yuk!  I will freely admit it...I'm just not a green person.  Basically, if it's not Old Olive or Pear Pizzazz (which we just said goodbye to....insert sad face here) then I'm just not interested.  BUT.....now that I've used Gumball Green.....I think I like it!  In fact....I think I REALLY like it!  So watch this space, because you will be seeing LOTS more Gumball Green I think!

Gumball Green with Cherry Cobbler.....who could go wrong with that combination???

How cute is that Christmas tree?  Want to know the best bit???  Every stamp in this set - Scentsational Season - has a matching framelit in the Holiday Collection Framelits pack :)  Yep, that's right....no cutting out required!  Love it!

Heart of Christmas

It's taken awhile, but I am finally here to share some of the gorgeous new products available in our gorgeous new catalogues!

I love the elegance of this card!  Isn't the Lacy Brocade embossing folder just gorgeous?

I kept the inside super simple, just mimicking the layers from the front of the card and adding an extra layer of Very Vanilla to write on.

Thanks for stopping by.

I know I haven't popped in here for ages, but I have a good excuse!  We finally moved into our new house!  It's lovely to have our own space again, and I am in love with my stamping room!

Anyways....today I am sharing my April Christmas cards for the Christmas Card Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.

.....I kept the inside very simple too.....

Almost caught up now.....but I don't like my chances of getting my 10 May cards done by the end of today! Not to worry, there's always next week :)

From Easter to Christmas.....

Can you believe it is only April and I am already behind on my Christmas cards???  I joined the Christmas Card Challenge over on Splitcoaststampers, and decided I would make 10 cards per month.  I will have excess cards, but plan to donate them to Very Special Kids, who have been amazing to my family.

So, without further ado, here are my cards for February:

Inspiration for these cards came from this gorgeous card.  As always, I made a few little changes :)

I'm so glad these ones are out of the way.....now I'm ready to move onto my March batch :)

Merry and Type Sliding Gift Card Holder

I want to share the Christmas gift card holder I made using the Merry and Type stamp set.  I still have one more of these to go out, but I think it is safe enough to share with you now :)

.....and when you pull the stocking to open it up.......

Ta da!

Frenchie has made an amazing video tutorial for this slider card which you can view here.

I was showing this off to my sister in law, who then wanted one for a wedding she was going to last Friday.  So I whipped one up using the gorgeous Mocha Morning Specialty Designer Series Paper, and forgot to take a photo before I gave it to her :(

How gorgeous is this little girl??  I am having a ball learning how to use my copic markers :)

Here's the inside:

I was having so much fun colouring in.....I made some more!

.....And then I made some more........

And now on with the show......

Can't you just imagine this gorgeous box filled with cookies, or some other home made Christmas delight?  I can.....but thought it would be a little dangerous for my waist line to add any such thing to it just yet!

My cookie box showcases the gorgeous new Designer Series Paper called Letters To Santa perfectly!  I have added a tag made using the brand new Two Tags Die, a sentiment from the stamp set Tags Til Christmas, and some Cherry Cobbler seam binding to finish it off.

My card features the beautiful ornament from the Tags Til Christmas Stamp set, as well as Baroque Motifs and Four The Holidays, 2 sets I was really pleased to see in the new catalogue!  Add some Top Note die cuts, some Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and a Rhinestone, and we're done :)

Thanks for stopping by.  Your next stop on the hop is the fabulous Nicole VanSteelandt Derendorf.  Be sure to leave her some comment love :)

Christmas In July

Christmas cards are popping up everywhere at the moment, so I thought I would have a little play too!

I made this to fit inside Stampin' Up!'s open ended envelopes.  I love the size of the card!

The inside looks great in real life, but I just couldn't get a decent photo of it :(

Tidings of Comfort and Joy

My first Christmas card for the year has finally been made!  I actually did sign up for the Christmas Card Challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers again this year.....after my dismal effort last year I was pretty determined to do better this year.....but with moving house and whatever other excuses that sound great but can't be thought of right now, it just hasn't happened.  I will start soon......I hope!

Anyways, on to my card:

Excuse the photography....I have taken about 45 photos of this one, but just couldn't seem to get it right.  Anyways, I used the colour combination of Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla, which was the colour challenge over at Just Add Ink last week, but of course I am too late to enter.  I also used last week's sketch from Clean and Simple Stamping.

It seems I just can't make a card now without doing the inside too:

That would have to be my fave sentiment from Many Merry Messages!

Jingle All The Way

Here we go with yet another Christmas card!  I did this card a few weeks ago at a workshop with a lovely bunch of my regular ladies, and they loved it!  This one is super quick and easy, perfect for mass producing!

It must be about time to create some cards in colours other than Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive, but I just love them!

Dasher

How gorgeous is this little guy?

I was having a look on splitcoaststampers at all the gorgeous cards that have been made using this Dasher stamp, and I fell in love with this card.  As you can see, I didn't make many changes, just the ribbon because I didn't have the satin ribbon at the time (I do now!!!), and the sentiment I used was from Contempo Christmas.  Hope you love him as much as I do!
