Just Believe

My lovely bunch of regular ladies recently asked me to teach them how to use the brayer.  Of course I said yes, and then ran screaming to my good friend and fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Janine, for a crash course in how to use it!!  Here is the card she taught me:

Isn't it gorgeous?  This one went to my sister in law after her recent knee reconstruction.

I made it again and embossed the image with black embossing powder, which I love too:

For the Bride

Another borrowed stamp set, but one I think I am going to need to add to my own collection!  In the catalogue, For the Bride did not appeal to me at all, but as soon as I used it I fell in love with it!

She looks so elegant embossed in gold, and the Rich Razzleberry paper finishes it off perfectly.  I have used a cuttlebug embossing folder in the background, but I am sure it would look just as elegant with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.

Holiday Lineup

I made 10 of these cards last night using the Holiday Lineup stamp set.  5 are going to school to sell at their Christmas stall on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, and the other 5 are going into my Christmas card stash!  I am going to have to start writing on the cards that I have ready to go in the next few days, so that I can work out how many more cards I need to make.  I have also been busy making a few other things, but can't put them up here until they have been posted off......I wouldn't like to spoil the surprise for the people at the other end!

My next mission is to get all the thank you presents for Dylan's teachers done by the end of next week.  I have 8 to make all up, so there are quite a few late night sessions coming up!  Can someone please remind me next year to start getting organised for Christmas in February?????

Oh Christmas Tree

I made this card a while ago, but I really love it and wanted to share it with you.  I am planning to make a few more of these for my Christmas Card stash.  It's really simple, but so effective!  For the record, my card is straight, it is my photography that leaves a bit to be desired!!

Embossing is one of my favourite techniques.  If I didn't have to pack everything up and put it away each time I used it then I would probably emboss everything!  Oh.....to have my own stamping room.....

I have embossed the Merry Christmas tag from the Curly Label Punch Bundle in gold embossing powder onto brushed gold cardstock.  I love how it looks, and think that I need to try the same thing in silver!
