The Melbourne Heartfelt Stampin' Event yesterday was so much fun! It was fantastic to meet up with friends old and new, and play with some soon to be released new products!
By far, the best thing about attending a Stampin' Up! event is the inspiration! Everywhere you turn there is something else to see....it's better than Christmas! My head is brimming with so many ideas of things I want to make and new techniques to try.....not to mention all the new products in the brand new Annual Catalogue starting on September 1st that I can't wait to get my hands on!
Here is my contribution to the share boards at yesterday's event:
It's called a Kusadama Ball, and I have made a large, medium and small one, and strung it on ribbon for a Christmas decoration. I love it! I really wanted to make a second one for me to keep, but I ran out of time. This one took me a week to complete.....lots of work, but well worth it! It was awesome to hear the oohs and aahs over it once I put it up on the share boards too! Hopefully I have inspired other's to have a go at making one of these :)
A note to my regular class ladies: If you bribe me with LOTS (and by LOTS I really mean LOTS and LOTS and LOTS) of Chocolate (Plain old Cadbury Dairy Milk is great!!), I may give in and agree to let you make this in a class. NO.....I wont be folding all the individual petals for you. YES, It will take more than 1 day. Can you sleep over? That will depend on the volume of chocolate involved in your bribe! Feel free to start bribing as soon as you like!
Now, I am really looking forward to getting my fingers inky again.....
Happy Stampin'

Well I do love it Mel looks GREAT & so it should after ALL the time it took to make it.... <3
I saw it yesterday Mel and I LOVE IT!!!! Yoou are so clever. I know I'd never have the patience to make one but I certainly love yours.
I would love to learn to make this beauty - how can I bribe you from Seattle WA
Hi Mel, I loved it too, had to take a photograph and I was most definitely an OOooh and probably and AAaaah as well. It's gorgeous and I admire your patience in making it and sharing it with us at the Heartfelt Stampin' Event yesterday.
I took up close and personal photos of this - it is absolutely fantastic and, I fully intend to make one - now all I need are the instructions - I can do the chocolate - now where do I deliver it too.
It was an amazing event - my first and certainly not my last.
What 3 sizes of paper did you use? It's absolutely amazing!
